Expectations for Volunteers
Follow rules and regulations of the organization Complete all necessary trainings.
Arrive on time for scheduled assignments; provide adequate notice to your supervisor if unable to work your shift. Volunteers should stay home when ill to avoid exposing others.
Respect and support participants, visitors, staff, and other volunteers by abiding by the program and volunteer rules and guidelines concerning discrimination and sexual harassment.
Respect the privacy and confidentiality of participants, staff, and visitors.
Adhere to the dress code.
Attend training sessions, and scheduled in-service meetings.
Volunteer Process
We will outline your role expectations, responsibilities, and tasks.
We will establish volunteer objectives.
We will acquaint volunteers with tools and procedures they’ll encounter on the job.
We will assess any knowledge and skills gaps, then work to fill these gaps.
We will create a framework for further evaluation.
